About Amy
I'm a daughter, sister, wife, and mother of two teen girls and a mixed terrier that loves to snuggle and steal food.
I come from a family of overcomers and have also had the honor of being married into a family of resilience and faith.
I’ve walked through multiple traumas in life and have experienced God’s redeeming and restorative power through them all.
In partnership with God and through counseling and life coaching, I’ve done a lot of hard internal work to grow from being in a position of healing to living out my healing whole heartedly.
Fear of rejection no longer rules over me.
I've always been very sensitive to emotions, my own and other people's. I have learned to celebrate my sensitivity as a gift from the Lord, while understanding that not all feelings are from Him and not all emotions deserve our full attention, nor do they work for our good.
I have a Masters in education from Trinity University with an endorsement in special education. I have worked with children to young adults with special needs. This community will always hold a very precious place in my heart.
I spent several years as the director of children’s ministry at a local church. I am forever grateful for the opportunity and the lessons I learned during my time on staff.
While serving in ministry, I discovered that I love creating spaces for people to connect more deeply within themselves, with one another, and with God. This, I believe, is at the heart of my coaching practice.
As a coach, I have deeply appreciated the process of helping women partner with Holy Spirit to find solutions to their problems and establish achievable action steps to move forward. I have learned that moving forward requires us to first look at the true state of our souls and to give God a fully surrendered heart. It’s a head to heart journey that’s ultimately not about us but about the Jesus. The Kingdom of God must first advance IN you before it can advance THROUGH you.
I received coaching training through Creative Results Management (The COACH model) and acquired my coaching certification in 2019 through ICF (International Coaching Federation).
I love all forms of art and have a closer connection with music and visual arts. As image bearers of God, I believe we’re all designed to create. Childlike wonder and curiosity is part of our inheritance. The process of making art is a powerful way to practice vulnerability, to connect with our inner beings, and to engage with God.
